International Tax Advisory Network

Who is behind Vodexis.

Vodexis was set up so that a client whose affairs cross borders is not left holding two partial answers. It is a brand under which independent advisers work, each keeping their own firm, their own clients and their own billing.

Why it exists

One position, from advisers who work the route.

Cross-border matters are usually handled by assembling advisers in each country and hoping the answers agree. They often do not, and the client is left to reconcile them — or discovers the gap later.

Vodexis exists to remove that step. Advisers who work the same corridors know each other, refer to each other directly, and coordinate their analysis into one written position. The brand is shared; the practices are not.

Vodexis itself advises no one. It holds no professional licence in any jurisdiction and contracts with no clients.

Eric Ellberger

International Tax Advisor

Eric Ellberger advises businesses on cross-border tax matters, with a focus on international corporate taxation, transfer pricing and tax accounting.

With close to two decades of experience within international corporations, Eric brings an industry perspective to tax advisory. His background in both tax and financial reporting gives him a strong understanding of how tax positions translate into financial statements and how tax decisions affect the wider business. Having worked directly with management, finance teams, legal counsel and external advisers, he understands how tax issues arise in practice and how technical advice needs to translate into workable solutions.

His industry experience spans technology, financial services, investment funds and oil & gas, with responsibilities across Europe, North America and Asia. Most recently at CloudBees, a US-headquartered technology company, he was responsible for subsidiaries across more than 20 jurisdictions and led international tax compliance and transfer pricing matters for the group’s non-US entities.

Eric holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from HEG Geneva and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Georgia State University. He completed the Executive Programme in Transfer Pricing at the University of Lausanne and is currently completing an LL.M. in International Tax Law at WU Vienna.

Based in Switzerland, Eric works in French and English and has professional proficiency in German.

Christian Santillan

Cross-Border Private Client

Christian Santillan advises on international tax planning for ultra-high-net-worth families, with a focus on cross-border structuring, global mobility and wealth-transfer strategies.

Christian has worked in and around wealth-transfer structures for internationally mobile families since 2019. He has also worked on the financing and administration side of these arrangements, overseeing lending and servicing operations — experience that informs how he assesses a structure’s mechanics rather than only its tax treatment. Much of his work is done alongside private bankers, relationship managers and family offices, across the United States, Switzerland and Latin America.

Christian is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Florida and a member of the AICPA Tax Section. He holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA from Florida International University, and is completing an LL.M. in International Tax Law at WU Vienna, where his work covers treaty interpretation, anti-deferral regimes and inbound and outbound planning.

Zurich · Miami. Christian works in English and Spanish.

Structure

How Vodexis is organised.

Vodexis is a brand operated by Vodexis LLC, a Florida limited liability company. It employs no advisers, engages no clients and provides no advice. The advisers who work under it are independent: each has their own firm, its own clients, its own billing and its own professional indemnity insurance.

Referrals move directly between advisers on terms they agree between themselves. Vodexis is not a party to those arrangements.
